How do I book a holiday with JK Travels and Holidays?

Start with an enquiry — from any package page, the trip builder, or the contact form. We reply with a written itinerary and a full quotation, usually within one business day. Once you are happy with it, we confirm with a deposit and send you the booking vouchers.

Can I customise a package instead of taking it as listed?

Yes, and most travellers do. Every package on this site is a starting point. Change the hotel category, add or remove nights, swap activities, or change the vehicle — the price recalculates and we re-issue the itinerary.

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

For peak season — December to February in the Gulf, June to August in Europe, cherry blossom in Japan — three to four months ahead. For shoulder season, four to six weeks is usually comfortable. We can work with less, but availability and pricing both narrow.

Do you handle flights as well?

Package prices on this site are land-only and exclude airfare. We can quote and book flights alongside your package on request, and we will tell you if booking them yourself would be cheaper.

Is there a minimum group size?

No. We arrange trips for solo travellers, couples, families and groups of fifty. Per-person pricing does fall as the group grows, because vehicle and guide costs are shared.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer and card payment. Specific options depend on your country of residence and are confirmed on your invoice. Online payment is not yet enabled on this website — all payments are arranged directly with our team.

How much deposit is required?

Typically 25 percent of the land package at confirmation, with the balance due before travel. Some hotels and airlines require full prepayment at the time of booking, and we will say so clearly in your quotation.

Which currency will I be billed in?

Our base currency is AED. Prices shown elsewhere on this site are converted for guidance using indicative rates. Your invoice states the billing currency and the rate applied.

Are there hidden charges?

No. Your quotation lists inclusions and exclusions in full. Where something is genuinely variable — a visa fee, an optional activity, a peak-date hotel supplement — it is shown as a separate line rather than buried in the total.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms depend on the hotels, airlines and suppliers in your specific itinerary, so they are stated in writing on your quotation before you pay anything. As a general pattern, cancellations more than 30 days before travel attract the smallest charges, and charges rise as the departure date approaches.

Can I change my travel dates after booking?

Often yes, subject to availability and to each supplier's own terms. Date changes made early usually cost little. We will always tell you the exact cost before making any change.

What happens if a supplier cancels?

If a hotel, airline or activity operator cancels, we rearrange the affected element at no additional cost to you, or refund that portion if no equivalent is available.

Are the hotels shown on this site guaranteed?

The hotels listed here are indicative of the standard and location of each category. Your actual property is confirmed in writing on your quotation, and will match or exceed the category you selected.

Can I request a specific hotel?

Yes. Tell us the property and we will quote it. If it is unavailable for your dates we will offer the closest equivalent and explain the difference.

Are single travellers charged extra?

Most hotel rates are per room rather than per person, so a solo traveller pays a single supplement. We show this as a separate line on your quotation.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Usually 2pm check-in and 12pm check-out, but it varies by property and country. Early check-in and late check-out can often be arranged for a fee, and we will request it on your behalf.

Is a driver included with the vehicle?

Yes. All vehicle pricing on this site includes a professional driver, fuel and parking unless stated otherwise. Self-drive can be arranged separately in destinations where it makes sense, such as Iceland or Oman.

Seating capacity is listed on every vehicle. As a rule, book for luggage rather than for seats — four adults with four large suitcases need an SUV, not a sedan.

Yes, on request and at no extra charge in most destinations. Tell us the ages of your children at the time of booking so the correct seats are fitted before pickup.

Is the vehicle available all day, or only for transfers?

Both options exist. Packages include the vehicle for the sightseeing programme described in the itinerary. Full at-disposal use, including evenings, can be added and is priced per day.

We assist with visa applications for many destinations, including the UAE and Schengen countries. Visa fees and service charges are quoted separately from package prices.

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. Visa decisions are made solely by the issuing authority. We prepare and submit a complete, accurate application and will tell you honestly if we think a case is weak.

It varies widely by destination and season — from a few working days to several weeks. Apply as early as your documents allow, and do not book non-refundable flights before approval.

No. Travel insurance is excluded from package prices, and we strongly recommend arranging it. We can refer you to providers, but the policy is a contract between you and the insurer.

At minimum: medical treatment and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, baggage, and any adventure activities in your itinerary — diving, skiing, trekking above a certain altitude and paragliding are commonly excluded from standard policies.

No. Children typically travel at a reduced rate, and infants under two are usually charged a nominal fee. The exact reduction depends on the child's age, the hotel's policy and whether an extra bed is needed.
