Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Kochi
Airport pickup and an afternoon in Fort Kochi — the Chinese fishing nets, the spice quarter and a Kathakali performance in the evening.
Day 2
Kochi → Alleppey houseboat
Board a private kettuvallam at midday and cruise the narrow canals until the boat moors for the night. Dinner is cooked on board.
Day 3
Alleppey → Thekkady
Disembark after breakfast and drive up to Periyar. A working spice plantation in the afternoon.
Day 4
Thekkady → Munnar
Through Vagamon's hills into the tea country, with the viewpoints on the way in.
Day 5
Munnar at leisure
A tea estate and museum in the morning, then Eravikulam or Mattupetty, or simply a day off in the mist.
Day 6
Munnar → Departure
A last look at the gardens and a transfer to Kochi airport or railway station.
